What is the Domestic region?
For Fast Cover’s travel insurance purposes, the Domestic Plus policy provides cover for travel to destinations within the Domestic region, provided your travel destination is at least 200km away from your home.
The Domestic region includes Australian states and territories such as:
Queensland
New South Wales
Australian Capital Territory
Victoria
Tasmania
Northern Territory
South Australia
Western Australia
The Domestic region also includes Australian islands such as:
Thursday Island
Lord Howe Island
Norfolk Island
Christmas Island
Cocos (Keeling) Island
A Domestic Plus policy for the Domestic region does not provide cover for overnight cruising in Australian waters.
Cover for domestic cruises may be available under International policies that include Australia as a travel destination.
Always check the PDS carefully for all the details so you know exactly what’s included before you decide to purchase travel insurance and before embarking on the journey.
If you’re unsure or need clarification, our friendly customer service team is here to help.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy.
