Once you buy your travel insurance policy, your Certificate of Insurance and a copy of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) will be sent to you by email. If you’d like a printed copy, you can request one by post. 

Your cover will then begin according to the start date listed on your Certificate of Insurance. For most policies, cancellation cover begins immediately from the date of purchase, while other benefits begin on your departure date. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
