I’ve received a quote but can’t see the excess, how do I check, and what options are available?
The excess on your travel insurance depends on when the policy was purchased and the option you selected during the quote.
If you buy your policy before leaving Australia, you can usually choose from $500, $200, or $100 excess options. A lower excess generally means a higher premium. The selected excess applies to most claims, although some sections of the policy may have different rules.
If you purchase a policy while already overseas, the excess is fixed at $500 and cannot be changed.
To check your chosen excess, review your quote summary or your Certificate of Insurance (if you’ve already purchased). You can also log into your policy online or contact us at info@fastcover.com.au or 1300 409 322 for help.
