Does travel insurance cover travellers on a KITAS residence visa?
Travel insurance is usually designed to cover travellers who are intending to come back home to Australia. If you are on a KITAS residence visa and not intending to come home to Australia, you may not be eligible to purchase our travel insurance.
Eligibility depends on your circumstances, such as the length of your trip, your country of residence, and whether your travel is considered temporary or permanent. It is important to check the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for the full eligibility requirements and exclusions.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
