Does travel insurance cover heli-skiing or snowboarding?
Heli-skiing and snowboarding are not automatically covered under Fast Cover’s Travel Insurance policies. Only travellers aged 69 and under at the date of policy issue may have cover for heli-skiing and snowboarding (including backcountry heli-skiing and snowboarding) if:
They have purchased a Domestic Plus or Snow Sports Plus policy,
The heli-skiing and snowboarding are done with a professional snow sport instructor, and
The heli-skiing and snowboarding are provided by a commercial operator and available to the general public only.
Cover is not available for heli-skiing or snowboarding in the backcountry without a professional snow sport instructor.
