Travel insurance does not provide cover for the cost of flights or other transport if your private car or campervan breaks down. 

Policies are designed to cover disruptions caused by specific insured events, such as illness, injury, severe weather, or issues with your scheduled transport provider, but not the mechanical failure of your own vehicle. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
